Down on the farm

Here are a few pictures from Dominic's 2nd birthday party yesterday. It was literally the cutest backyard party I've ever been to! The entire backyard was transformed into a fun little farm for the kids. Schanen and Jon Ray even had entertainment for the kids! There was a singer there and Nick was all about the music. He just sat there completely jamming with the music. Too funny! I know I say it over and over, but we just LOVE our neighborhood and all of our friends here. In fact, on Thursday, we'll be taking a neighborhood field trip to Playa del Carmen. Thank God for grandparents.

At the car wash...Nick 19 months...Jay 36 years!

We had a great weekend celebrating Jay's 36 birthday on Friday the 29th and just hanging out with Nick. Nick turned 19 months on May 28 and is busier and more fun each day. His vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds. Now, he'll blow you a kiss (besitos), waves bye-bye to EVERY car, plane or human that goes by the house, loves to say "uh-oh" when he perceives problems and will clap and say "did it" when he is proud of himself. He still loves being outside, picking up rocks, leaves and the occasional frog. (UGH!)
When our friends Will and Laura Thomson, and their daughter Kennedy, visited us over Memorial Day weekend, Nick was totally enamored with them. He walked around looking for them saying "Lala" (Laura) and "Kiki" (Kennedy).
Continuing Jay's birthday celebration, we had brunch with Jay's family on Saturday morning. Jay and I had a nice steak dinner the weekend before with some friends to celebrate. (I dig birthdays and feel they should be sufficiently observed:)
Here are a few pictures from this weekend with Nick helping Jay wash the cars - Jay's, mine and, don't forget, Nick's car too!
Next up, is our vacation to Playa del Carmen. My parents arrive on June 10 to take care of Nick and Elvis. Yay for summer!!
